Hi,
I have a Fleck 5600 and had it for many years. Everything works reasonably fine, but my brine tank does not seem to refill well during the service cycle and I cannot figure out why. After a service cycle, my tank is dry in the morning. If I manually depress down the brine fill valve assembly with my finger or a screwdriver, it fills fine, but that's a pain. Also when I manually cycle the knob to "Brine Refill" it seems to fill ok. I don't believe it's a bridge or plug because of these reasons. Also, when I manually fill the tank and run a cycle, it seems to be working fine and my water is soft, so what I've been doing is just manually filling the tank every 3 or 4 days, which is about my regen timeframe.
My dial on the back for salt usage is set to 6, which I think is right for my usage and media tank size. I did rebuild my fleck 5600 seals 6 months ago.
Maybe the tip that depresses the brine fill assembly is worn? Maybe my brine fill valve assembly is "stickier" than normal? Anyone seen that? Or have any other ideas?
