I just recently had a slab leak, and the plumbers jack hammered a hole in the slab and fixed the T joint that had a hole in it. That was 3 weeks ago. Now I know that once you find 1 leak there's a good chance that more leaks are to come.

I know where the hot water line runs under my slab and along the entire line I can feel the carpet/tile warm. The warm "spot" is not exactly a spot. It is a straight line about 3ft in width that runs exactly above the hot water line, which is about a foot under the slab.

I find it hard to believe that a slab leak would warm the slab in a straight line like that, but I am also not sure if the hot water pipe would warm the slab when its not even in the concrete. It's in dirt underneath the slab. What are you thoughts?

Thanks.

Also, I live in a condo building with 8 shared units. The hot water lines are all connected so I can't use just shut off all the water and check the meter. Unless no one else is using water. The line is made out of copper and is buried about a foot deep in dirt under a 3inch slab.
