Why not just get longer hoses? It would take a few fitting to get to both those sizes and then there is that much more possibility for a leak.
 
Most faucets have either the male section of a basin connection or 3/8" compression fittings on them. With the basin connection, you attach a supply tube with a basin nut. With the 3/8" compression, which is what it sounds like you have, they are meant to attach directly to the supply valve. Often, they aren't long enough. Get 3/8" compression couplings and a short length of soft copper to bridge the gap between the supply tubes and the supply stop.
 
Home depot had a simple faucet ext connector with male and female ends.
easy and only 5 budks.
