Shower Knob I can't remove

Trying to remove a Moen shower knob - single lever. It must be a unique type because all the videos online don't cover this type...

I unskrew the lever and remove it. I see what appears to be a nut that looks like it should be removed. But it won't budge. And on further inspection, I think the nut is a permanent part of the fixture. I can't get anything to budge.

Any ideas?

Post a picture of what you have. It doesn't sound like a Moen.

Unfortunately it's at a rental house 1 hour away. I didn't think to take a picture at the time. Guess I'll hire a plumber for $200ish rather than drive out there 2 more times.

I'm 100% certain it's a Moen, that name is on the circular part that attaches to the wall behind the knob.
