My younger daughter’s guest bath shower head only gets a trickle of water. The materials were installed just before she bought the house 2 yrs ago. No one has used the shower during the past 2 yrs. Water flow through the faucet is good & the diverter completely shuts off the water through the faucet. The water pressure is good everywhere else in the house. The master shower works well.
My guess is the faucet diverter doesn’t fully divert the water to the shower head even though it does stop the flow through the faucet. A 2nd guess is mineral build-up in the pipe to the shower head. Just guesses.
With the shower head in place, there is only a very slight trickle of water.

Take the shower head off and check the flow of water. If it seems adequate, either replace the shower head or soak what you have in CLR for 10 minutes, rinse, reinstall, and try it again.
