I have an inexpensive 'shower stall in a box' type shower in my basement that is set on a 3" concrete base. I need to install a new drain kit but the only ones I can find have around a 5" depth. I'm needing an approximate 2" in depth kit from drain cover to base. I know, it's a ridiculously small area to work with. I'm getting leaking in between the floor of the shower and the concrete base. I only have a little less than 1" of actual drain pipe coming up from the concrete base. I would like to try a Wingtite type drain kit that can be installed completely from the top of the drain but that drain kit is also too deep. Any suggestions on solutions?

yes it is, but it's almost, but not quite, flush with the shower base

Pull the shower base, chip out the floor to remove the floor drain, and pipe it back in correctly.

Anything else is a hack job that is almost certain to cause problems.
