Hello ALL!

this videos shows the situation im having.
[ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HSPvUmqAK8&feature=youtu.be[/ame]

if you stop the video right away you can see there is a big gap from wall to faucet that id like to shorten and get it closer to the wall. not sure where to start here as I did try removing it once a while ago but had a fear id break the pipe.

looking at the video, is the rusted threaded part a make fitting that goes into the wall as a connector?

my other question is, what are the 2 nut adjustments (closest to the wall)?

theres a cover to the pipe going into the wall. then theres a chrome but then some rusted threaded pipe then a falt pain thin nut. what do I remove here please?

thanks in advance. much appreciated

Open the wall and solder on female adapters or drop ear 90 inside the wall and start over

thanks for the reply. not my apt. breaking wall is a last resort only. what other options do I have?

Ive seen this before. The pieces your talking about are provided with that fixture to make the transition from stub out to faucet. Pretty nifty design but I agree with the spacing issue, it just looks bad. I did as referred above and opened the wall and made the rough in piping match the fixture basically getting rid of the adapters all together. Because of the offset on the built in adapters it looks like it won't line up if you just get rid of them in your case. I don't see another option other then opening the wall to get the results you want.

Leave it to apartment owner to take care of. It's a mess out dated and needs replaced.
