Rubbish at maths

Can I still become a plumber/gas engineer?? Any suggestions will help me decide if I should take this level 1 diploma course at my local college costing just over £1500.

You will need to elaborate on the question for any advice from the plumbers on this forum. Maybe that is why there have been no responses and I apologize for that...we plumbers can be a strange lot sometimes.
What do you mean by "still"? Is there an age issue or a personal history that would inhibit whether or not you can work as a plumber/gas engineer?
Some more information would help.
