My Rheem gas water heater stopped igniting. I am trying to remove the burner assembly from the tank chamber to examine and replace parts. However, my burner assembly is a large cylinder shaped part inside the tank, instead of all the tutorial youtube video which showed a flat disk. All those video showed that the assembly can be easily removed from the chamber, mine is stuck by the door with half of the cylinder still up inside the door of the chamber.

Is it possible to remove such burner assembly? Do anyone has such experience? Thanks a bunch! We are out of hot water in the cold winter. ~~~~~

Great job!

Next time also post a pic showing brand, model number, and serial number, to get specific help.
