Hi guys,

So, I am being a horrible son to my mother. I gave her a washing machine 7 months ago and still did not connect it to the water supply for her to start using it. The difficulty is ...

this portable washing machine is in her bathroom. I tried connecting the hose to her faucet but it did not fit and I am concerned that with the water limiter, water flow rate is very low from the faucet. I am not sure how else I can connect the water supply. The water from bathtub faucet is far reaching and also has a weird connector.

any help will be appreciated.

or is it easier to hire a plumber and have him figure this out?

thank you.

Those are female hose threat supply lines I recommend you call a plumber to properly pipe in connections. Or Mickey Mouse it and go to Homedepo replace current lavi angle valves with dual angle valves and conversion fittings .

i do not recommend hooking a portable washing machine up to a basin. The small sink cannot handle the volume of water it discharges and you end up with a mess on the floor. Hook it up to the kitchen sink. If the sink faucet is compatible you need to screw out the aerator and get one for a portable washer/dishwasher hook up.

thank you all for the feedback. At least I feel less guilt knowing that it was not a simple 1, 2, 3 set up in the bathroom. Under sink hook up is very interesting but means she'll have to clean out stuff every time she wants to do a wash. Will try to figure something out.

again, thank you all

Wash machines need there own drain at specific length to handle the volume of water and possible sud back up. They also require 1/2" boiler drain connections for those hose connections.

That sink would overflow rapidly if the washer were to dis charge into it.

i am not addressing the drain, simply because the op only asked about hooking up the water,

the pictur the op has is 2 hose ends.....

i suggest, having a plumber install boiler drains undr the sink

the drain???
