I ran a 3/4 PVC water line out to the far side of my daughters swimming pool where the pool pump is located for her to have a spigot for a hose connection.
I tied into a 3/4 inch line in the basement and out to the spigot which is underground for about 125 ft. I did this 2 years ago and had no issues last year but now when you use the spigot the PRV calavatates or bangs when you turn the spigot on or off. I have 75 psi static at pool spigot and around 65 psi at the house. There is about an 8 ft drop from house to pool. I understand the PRV trying to regulate the pressure and causing the banging but what will cure the problem. A new PRV or maybe a better one?
Thanks for any input. Curtis
