Hi, I'm having a problem with the plumbing in the kitchen sink(double sink). The water is draining really slow and leaking out of the white pipes right below it, I tried Drano and snaking...neither of which seemed to help...I also tried plunging it but that didn't help and just pushed the pipe off the sink.

I took the white pipes off the sink after the water had finally drained and tried snaking the black pipes farther down. I then put the pipes back on and tried pouring more boiling water down, it just came back up to the sink and then proceeded to leak out of the white pipes right below it. The thing is I didn't put enough water down that it would have filled up to the sink if it had made it to the larger pipes.

I'm beginning to think the white pipes are just shot and need to be replaced. Is there a reason water wouldn't be draining through them? I don't think they should be leaking either way right? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Quit wasting your time on the boiling water and dangerous chemicals. Either hire a good quality drain clearing specialist or get your self a snake long enough to do the job correctly.

Boiling water and chemicals create leaks in drain pipe,

OP has problems, Havasu posted correct answer. Although boiling water will not remove any clog and drain chemicals are VERY dangerous and poisonous, they will not harm correctly installed pipe.

Encourage everyone to use boiling water to clear their drain lines. NO chemicals please. As I have posted previously, boiling water (or baking soda) will not work. I have kids in college... I love getting calls for kitchen sink drain cleaning jobs because the boiling water didn't work!

I have gotten leaks on abs trap adaptors after pouring boiling hot water combined with regular hot water from the faucet

More than once i have found hairline splits in ABS and grey PVC after people poured boiling water down drains trying to clear clogs on their own. I do not advise.
