I have an old building that I am making into a small apartment. I cut the slab to run my drain lines to the underground septic tank, but after making my cuts and removing the concrete I discovered another slab that has old terracotta sewage lines. The concrete I removed is 3 1/2” thick and leaves me no room to create the proper fall for drainage.
My question is should I just cut the second slab underneath for my new lines? Can I build the floor up to compensate? Is there another way?
