Pipe Lining Project

Anyone have any experience with the new pipe lining services?

I have 40 year old cast iron sewer and vent pipes in a ten story building. The pipes have the expected build up and corrosion. A company is selling management on a project to clean and reline the existing pipes. I would be more in favor of replacing with new cast iron since the costs are comparable.

Any thoughts or input would be appreciated.

I would go new. I have no experience with liner, but have heard dozens of horror stories. If no price difference then i would be replacing. What is there pitch if there is no cost savings. I would also ask them if there ever is a clog in the future what would snaking the line do to the liner.
