I just moved into a house and we have a problem with our downstairs washer draining water into the basement drain. the bathroom shower is built around the floor drain and the pipe that drains washer water goes through the cinderblock wall that makes the shower. the plan is to take the whole shower out and redoing the bathroom. the problem is that the washer drains into the shower and into the floor drain. the drain is to slow for water drainage and it backs up and comes through the sealant around the pipe in the wall. I want to dig down into the concrete and install a T fitting into the floor drain so the washer can drain into the floor drain and not in the slower. Would that be the easier way to do it? Im no plumber:)

Easy yes (it might work) ,but not a plumbers way of doing it ,you should hire a plumber.
