I am building a bathroom in my shop and am using 1/2" PEX lines. I am using the barb fittings with the copper crimp ring. I have the proper crimp tool for this application, also the go/nogo gauge.
My question is when you crimp the ring, should the fitting you crimp be able to rotate in the PEX pipe?
My go/nogo gauge slide over my crimps half way and not all the way to the u part of the gauge, is this normal?
Or should I try to tighten the crimp calibration some?
Thanks, Scott
