Over-head drain system - Townhouse

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this. I'm looking to buy a townhouse that has a flood disclosure in a two unit building. The next door unit is also selling but they are saying that unit had an over-head drain system installed and perma seal. My question is wouldn't my unit also require an overhead drain system installed to stop the flooding since it is one building?

i dont know what a overhead drain system is. are you referring to a sewage ejector ?


roof drains ? storm drains ? sewer drain ? french drain ?

yes it is sewage drain and i believe it does include ejector.

ever heard of a back flow preventer ?

it is a valve, $30.00---$50.00

you install on the sewer line as it exits the house. it lets flow go out, but not come back in

ive watched videos of that. but my question was. if there are two townhouses same building wouldn't they both require flood control if one already required it to stop their flooding? it is same building method, material and foundation = same flooding?

possible, contact your building department, they would have [should] pulled a permit. should be on file.

see if a permit was pulled, and who pulled it
