Outdoor faucet question

This faucet did not have handle when I moved in, and the "stem?" (gold looking part) is stripped. I assume this piece is called a stem. How do I replace this piece so I can finally have a handle? I tried to unscrew it more to pull it out like I have seen on other videos, but it will not budge anymore

For you to find a stem to fit your outside faucet is very slim. In most cases your far better off to replace the faucet.
