I have a Kohler lavatory faucet that is dripping rapidly. I have almost no experience with plumbing, but I wanted to try fixing it myself.

The nice people at Kohler looked at a photo of my faucent, told me that I the model I have is the K-8211-K-CP Taboret widespread, and sent me two replacement cartridges.

My conundrum is that I can't for the life of me figure out how to disassemble the T-Handle to get the thing off.

This manual isn't helping. http://www.us.kohler.com/onlinecatalog/pdf/112979_2.pdf

Am I missing something simple? Is this not the model they think it is?

Thank you! Yes, I'm sure that's it.

So I'm not crazy. It looks like you can unscrew those T-handles from each side; but I swear I've tried with all the force I can muster and there's no evidence they're going to budge.

WD-40?
