Old Eljer shower/tub handles

So my shower is dripping and I want to check the valves and washers in the handles. I go to take of the handles... but wait, there's no set screw. not on the face, not on the neck of the handle....Nothing.

The only thing I can see is on the neck of the handle, there's a little slot cut-out and what appears to be a brass tab from the valve, sticking through and holding the handle in place. On the other side of the neck, there is a little dimple... so I'm thinking this is some kind of snap-on handle.

Anyone ever seen one of the these? Before I start prying at it?

Take a screwdriver and push in the brass tab. That will free the handle so it can be pulled off.
