Hello,

Is it possible to roll a bottom horizontal combination wye just a degree or two to get vertical stacks to offset as they climb a wall?

I have attached a drawing to help.

Thanks.

you can roll a combo

yes, but, it is complicated to tell you ho to do it.

roll the combination over to the wall,

using 2, street 22.5 degree bend fittings
place 1 in your combination, place the other, in the 1st 22.

twist them and line them up as to the angle you wish. mark with a sharpie, remove and glue together

are you familiar with the way a flue vent offset fitting works ?

using, 2 fitting 22.5 degree bends is just like twisting that offset to line it up.

Thanks Frodo. That's a good solution for sure. I was wondering if a 2-piece Wye + 1/8 fitting might allow for a twist that would give an offset. Also, what about a PVC dogleg like this?

Hi Frodo,

I am just curious if I can tweak the Wye + 1/8 fitting as I describe in the attached jpg. Perhaps the standpipe comes out of the wall. I'm not sure how the standpipes are typically finished. If the standpipe stays within the plane of the wall, I want to make sure I achieve the 4" trap arm length.

Thanks.

Why do you need to do that? You might be over thinking it.
Is it so you can pass a horizontal line across the vertical stack?
Best to keep your stacks on a center line. In a 6" (5-1/2") wall you can rough them in off center a little to give a little extra room on one side. But not to much. The hubs on the fittings have a larger Outside diameter.

Is the main horizontal line under a slab or an open accessible area below?
