new water heater.....can't figure this out

all was going well...then water heater (gas) broke.....bought a new hot water heater....had it in installed. i now have hot water to all parts of house, except......i have a washing machine in my garage which now does not have hot water. theory is, perhaps line going to washing machine was broke..(pretty big coincidence)..if so, wouldn't the hot water heater be running all the time? had no problems with hot water to washing machine before hot water heater broke. cannot figure it out....two plumbers came out and cannot figure it out. any ideas? thank you to any help.

Did they check the strainer on the hose connection to the washing machine?
You say "had it installed", did the guy installing it check for hot water throughout the house before leaving?
Was he a plumber and may know if a valve somewhere was shut off and not reopened?
If you had two plumbers (together or separate visits?) there and they can't figure it out, it may be a little tough for us to suggest anything not knowing what they may have done already.
That kinda puts you in a rough position too since you may not know what diagnostics have been done.
I would unscrew the connection to the washing machine and see if the pipe has water flow.
If there is a shut off valve, maybe the washer inside the valve broke free and is clogging the valve.
