Hi All. I purchased from Home Depot and had installed a new, Delta shower diverter. I can't find the model number (still looking) but it's that basic model they sell. Might be called the Linden (somewhere in the neighborhood of $90-$150 in cost). Anyway, after installation it was not used for a while but now it's in use. I used it a few times just to fill some cleaning buckets full of water and it was fine. The tenant moved in, took a shower and fine. After the second shower it would not shut off though. Not a drip....completely running full force. I took it apart and toyed around with it a bit and it was working ok then voila...at the next shower it again would not shut off. Any advice? Thank you.

The 1400 series cartridges come apart fairly easily. Inside the parts are simple.
Look for yourself, or if it were me, replace the cartridge with one that Delta will send you for free under warranty.
When assembling the cartridge, it is important that the tiny "v" and the notch align. The cartridge assembly is spring loaded, and hand pressure must be kept on the cartridge while the ring is tightened into place.
