I need to replace the toilets in our house. I have a child with a GI issue in which child has very large bm's, that are difficult (in size) for the current toilets to flush.
I don't really want to spend a fortune on toilets, but would like to have one that meets this need. Water usage is not a concern to me. I've seen the video of the AMStandard Champion 4.....which is what I originally thought we would get....however, it flushed lots of small items, and not a large mass.

Thanks for your advise!

I'd recommend you search for an ADA compliant toilet, which can be found at most big box stores, provided your child can handle the additional height of the taller toilet.

It is correct that ADA toilets are higher but the other difference is in the size of the "goose neck". the ADA has a larger goose neck therefore has a higher flush capacity for the harder bowels which is usually found in the older generation or certain medications.

(Also, for old folks with bad knees, such as myself, they are a blessing!)

I installed a HC kohler elongated front, in my bathroom
after i had back surgery, the pain meds made hard large bm's. the kohler gobbled them up.
sometimes,, i dont care how good a toilet is,
they will not handle a foot long deposit, you gotta get old school on it and poke it with a stick,
apologize, for being so graphic

I would recommend a caroma toilet. You are able to flush a tennis ball down without an issue. This is what I recommend to my customers who are having issues with flushing.

I've got a Toto Drake with Sanagloss and love it. It is dual flush so you can do a lighter tap on the lever to flush just urine, but hold the lever longer to flush anything with toilet paper. The only clogs I've had have been because of the pipes being out of whack and the septic tank backing up. I think it can flush like 900 grams. It doesn't splash when it flushes either. It might be pricier than you want to pay though.

I don't know about the residential toilets from American Standard, but I despise the commercial ones they have in some of the large stores. Stupid things splash me when they flush.

Another thing to look in to is trying to figure out what is causing your child's digestive issues and if there is any change in his/her diet that could help.
