Need Help Replacing Washer In Shower Stem

Hello everyone!

Currently trying to stop a leaky bath/shower but never seen a stem like this (photo). This stem has no hex nut so the shower valve socket wrench is out the equation.

Was looking to replace the washer but just can't seem to locate it. Any suggestions?

I see a notch.
Kind of looks like a Price Pfister Avante. Do and image search.
Is this a single handle mixing valve for Hot and Cold?
I think maybe you just pull it out. The notch is for alignment.

But I don't think it's a PP Avante though. Image search.

The notch is sometimes a typical feature on plastic cartridges. is the flat surface you just exposed plastic?
