Need help removing kitchen faucet

I need to remove the faucet to fix a leaking hose but cannot figure out how to get it lose from the sink. I was able remove a set screw in the handle and get that of but that just got me to the cartridge i believe. I just need to move it up so i can loosen the hose on the bottom? Any ideas.

The picture is a little fuzzy, but it looks like you could use a socket on the brass piece that is sticking down.
