Hi All,
I live in an apartment complex and started hearing the noises posted below when the neighbor next door and below her use their sinks and showers. The sounds come up from the drain in the kitchen sink and seem to come through the section of the wall with a hole (outlet, light switch), so I think it may just be coming up from below. I'm right above the boiler for our section of the building, and these sounds started occurring right around the time the boiler started making grumbling sounds throughout the day that were much louder than they were before. I hear the whooshing sound of the water through the pipes when they're used and a thumping sound every time the water goes on and off.
Any thoughts/advice on why this has started? Haven't heard anything like this for the previous years I lived here. Pressure issue? Boiler gone bad? The maintenance guys are helping and trying to figure this out, but since it's been going on for a while, thought I'd see if anyone recognizes the sounds. Thanks!
