Hello,

I have amystery water leak actuall 2 leaks. The hot water side leaks about .5 to .75 GPM an the cold side leaks about 0.1 to 0.12 GPM.
These measureds come fron the Water softener.
I have had 2 plumbers come out to find it and one wpuldn't even try to locate it after the head it and saw the possible location. The other want ed to just start cut out the slab flooring.
Not my idea of agood aproach.

They couldn't locate it with a leak finder for the hour they were here.

Any suggestions or ideas would be great help. Even a good plumber to call, Live in same town in NE Okla.

If you have a leak in a slab house check for warm spots in the kitchen+bathroom floors,it's possible in the end you will have to open the floor,we have a lot of slabs were I live,I've seen a repair done once,

Specify that you have a slab, some companies out there that specialize in slab leaks

Instead of digging out that line, it would be cheaper to bypass this slab leak and go up and over into your attic if at all possible.
Any ideas of who does this? I contated one plumber and said" now firm prices but a ball park starting price would be around $17,000 for repipe as i have a 3 1/2 story split level house.
Any information the company "REPIPE specialist " that advertises national?

No local contact but they one a plumber about 100 miles away and need at least two weeks notice to come and look it for a quote.

Many times, your plumbing could be in great condition, except for the under slab plumbing. Obviously, Unless someone is there to evaluate your plumbing, nobody has no idea how old/degraded/rotten your plumbing is. It is possible just by rerouting that one line, your remaining plumbing could be in great condition.

I am in the same boat myself. I've already been in contact with a plumbing specialist handyman, who will help me reroute my under slab pipes, and it can be done for less than $500, and a bit of drywall repair.

Below is my incoming hot and cold water manifold where we will be tying in to.

You mentioned going up thru the attic in my neck of the woods the slabs have a crawl space type attic, I know one friend who went away on vac, her plumbing in the attic froze and flooded her home was a mess
It can be done it just has to be over insulated
Heat traced and if possible boxed in with board insulation
