This is probably a stupid question but....
My water heater is at one end of a long house. I have been using a hot water circulation unit to solve the fact that it would take upwards of 2 minutes for water to get to faucets that are far from the heater.
I am doing a remodel and find myself with an opportunity to move the heater to a more central location in the house. It is electric and the area I am moving it to has 220V available and 3/4 inch water lines on the main trunk.
Plumbing-wise, would this really be as simple as tapping a new cold water feed and hot water line from/into the existing trunk at the new location, and then capping off the old lines? It sure seems to work on paper.... but does it stand the test of reality for experienced people on this forum?
Thanks!
Graham
