Hi-

I have had a leaky shower head on and off for months now. I've replaced the cartridge in the knob twice and that usually fixes it for a few days, but slowly the leak comes back. I've also taken out the knob and flushed the valve which also seemed to fix it for a few days. The leak is now pretty bad and it seems to get worse if the water is running in other places in the house. Is it time to call in a plumber?

Thanks in advance.

When you replaced the cartridge, did it have a rubber washer on the end of it that sealed against the back of the valve to shut the water off? If so, the seat in the back of the valve is probably bad.
