Hi all!
im new here, and also a new home owner.
In my atrium, i have a outdoor faucet that sticks out of a stucco wall. The faucet is dripping.

1. Is there a way to replace the faucet without tearing open the stucco wall?
2. If not, is there a way to stop the leak another way? Maybe cap it or something somehow?

any input is appreciated, thank you!

Sometimes you can take the stem out of the faucet and replace the rubber gasket. Often, however, the threads will be corroded and seized, or, even if you get it apart, the seating surface inside will be grooved, which cannot be fixed by replacing the gasket.

In that case, you should be able to buy a 3/4" hose thread capat any home improvement/hardware store, along with a hose washer, and cap it off in that manner.

What is the brand name of your faucet ( also known as hose-bib or sill-cock )? Is there any type of shut-off inside the house to winterize the faucet? There should be, usually in a nearby closet, if on a slab, or in the ceiling of your basement, or up in the floor joists of a crawl space. Turning off the shut-off will stop the dripping. Then once you determine brand of faucet you can either buy a repair kit or simply replace the faucet after the shut-off valve.
