My lead bend started to leak. I removed the toilet, and cut out the lead bend. The lead bend was connected to 3"copper waste pipes. My goal was to sweat a new street 3" 45, and then a small section of 3" copper with a male threaded end. From there I was going to connect PVC to replace the lead bend section.

My problem:

Trying to unsweat the pipe broke off. I prefer not to use a no hub. Any ideals on how I can remove the old section of pipe?

Why would you not use no-hub? A shielded no-hub is the correct and best option for your situation. Change your thinking and the problem will be repaired shortly. You do not want to screw plastic pipe to anything, especially metal pipe.
