Laundry tray pump not shutting off

Hope everyone’s doing well! I have a utility pump that pumps water out from the basement sink the laundry water dumps into, looks like it’s a Hartell pump. All of a sudden the pump won’t turn off, I have to flip the off switch to ensure it doesn’t burn out and just keep on when laundry is running. Is it something with the float switch? Thinking it’s just not recognizing no water is left, if turn off it does drain and pump, just need it to stop constantly running

Thanks I’ll take a look, it looks like the float switch itself is getting stuck on the unit for whatever reason
