Laundry Room

Hi. I am moving my washer/dryer to a location where I will have to use a laundry sink and pump to discharge the water to main drain. From what I am reading, I will have to connect PVC from sink to main drain for discharge. My question is, is it possible to use PEX from the sink to the main drain? Thanks!

I am not sure where you are located, but, around here, pex is used for supply, not drains. We use PVC for drain lines. What is your main drain line? Is it cast iron or pvc or something else?
