We have a seasonal Florida condo and noticed last night a wet spot under one sink. I let it completely dry overnight then poured water down the drain and checked for wet spots, found none. I then put the plug in and put water in and found it wet around the seal underneath.
Is this a simple task for me to perform. My main concern is how hard is it to get out the old assembly. If I can should I then just re putty and reuse or buy a new assembly.
New assembly seems the way to go as they seem reasonably priced on line but I would just go to Home depot for one.
Are these a standard size mine measures 4.5 inches across inside the sink.
My neighbor said to just put silicone around the edge for now as we may end up replacing counter and sink in a couple of years, but prefer to do it right.
