This should be something that I could find out, or know, but does plastic pipe called "S&D" have the same dimensions as Schedule 30 PVC?
Why I Ask-
In a hardware I saw fittings & pipe marked S&D. The home center had Schedule 30. Nothing was marked S&D, so I couldn't try. On line, I came up empty for dimension charts for S&D.
I stopped by the wholesaler and asked. They didn't know and a couple of plumbers at the counter said they never have heard of S&D.
Years & years ago I completed my plumbing apprenticeship, but PVC was rarely used so we never touched on it. When I worked in the field, cast iron bell and spigot (plus clay & concrete) were all we used for DWV. (Plus galvanized fixture drains.)
Thanks For Explaining,
Paul
