Picked up a Kentico carbon filter off of Craigslist. I "think" i know which port is water IN and which is water OUT, but ya know what happens when you ASSUME, so looking for some input
Two pics show a flashlite shining into each port and where the light shows up on the inside.
The left side shows light around the outer edge of the "feeder tube" (or whatever it's called.) My guess is this would be the IN side. Water from the SOURCE gets connected on this side (??).
The right side pic shows the light around the center where the feeder tube connects and my thought was water from this side is what should go to the house plumbing system.
So source water comes in around the edges flows down through the carbon bed then up through the feeder tube and out into the house(?). Is this correct or do I have it bass-ackwards ?
There are no arrows or markings on the the tank head to indicate which is which.
Thanks in advance
