Hi there,
I have a 3 story house (basement, main level, upper level). There is a utility sink in the far corner of the main level garage. ~30' away diagonally from this sink is the main stack of drain lines, where a powder room is on the main level and a mud room on the basement. Here is the picture of what's inside the utility sink cabinet. This section of the pipe measures 2.5" O.D.
This sink could be horizontally connected to the main stack thru
1) the space between main level floor and basement ceiling, or
2) the space under basement floor.
Is there a way to find out this horizontal section's pipe size without tearing up the floor?
I'm adding two new bathrooms near this corner sink. If the sink's pipe size was 3", I could connect my new bathrooms to this pipe.
There is no other existing plumbing fixtures on this side of the house. A small pipe was probably put in at the time of the construction. But how do I know for sure?
Any ideas?
Thanks!
