Hot water tank rust

After only a couple weeks, my dielectric union on the cold water intake is rusted 1/2 on the inside. I thought that the di union should prevent this from happening, but it appears to have accerated the electrolysis issue. I going to try to include an image. What can I do to prevent this. Hot water tank is 2 months old. Should I add di union on hot water output?

If you are on well water, sometimes if you have a lot of iron in the water or other "metals" you will get the same effect.

You have every type of water distribution piping available on that thing. Put the dialectic on the water heater nipple on both hot and cold. What is that line connecting the hot and the cold together.

Cold supply for the mixing valve.

Correct (IMO)...

pH is a must.
