Trying to remove a burned out Waterstone hot tank from under my sink. This white plastic connector (which connects to the hot water tube of the venter faucet above) isn't coming off the small copper tube that's part of the unit. Anyone know the trick to getting this unstuck? I've tried unscrewing it, pulling it, etc. Thanks

That is a push on fitting, and they can be a pain to get apart. You need to push in on the most inner white collar to disengage the locking teeth, hold that down, and then pull the pipe out of the fitting.

That did the trick! A million thanks. These hot tanks tend to burn out after about 6 years according to the manufacturer, Waterstone. Bummer.
