Hi. I just moved into a new rental house and discovered it doesn't have an outdoor faucet in the backyard. There is one on the opposite side of the fence though and I can run a hose to the back yard between the house and the fence. The problem is I keep the gate locked from the outside so I can't access the faucet from the back yard.

So is there some kind of valve that I could attach to the end of a short hose so I could just leave the exterior faucet on all the time and open/close it in the back yard? Hopefully that makes sense.

Being that it's a rental house this will probably be your best best. Run a garden hose from existing faucet to this stake wherever you want it located at.

buy a brass 3/4'' hose x 1/2'' mip adapter

and a 1/2'' hose bib, and a washer maching hose.

connect the hose to the old faucet

on the other end, to the adapter, adapter into new hose bib

mount to the fence using screws or what ever works for you
