Hi all

new to this forum and I have a simple question.

if you look at the image I included it shows a rough sketch of my situation.
I'm wondering if there are distance restrictions regarding my discharge line. I want to install it closer to the stack coming from the second floor (the part in red in the drawing)

right now it's about 10 feet from the first bend (on the left). I need to move about 6 feet to the left of the original line

thanks

strange..I posted a reply but it never made it...
anyway, the current set up does have a p-trap just above floor level before it enters the floor going into the basement

as far as I can tell it does not have a dedicated vent.
the new hook up I want to do would have copied the current one...do I need a dedicated vent for that line?

it does have a vent... it looked like it went straight down but the vent is in the wall.
