I need to stub into the wye in the main which is partially into the road. I will need to get some kind of bond or permit? Anyone formiliar with protocol for this in allegheny county? I am looking for rough $ as well for a homeowner? A digging permit costs 54 dollars I was told and a road permit was 250 dollars. Somebody said I would need a bond? Maybe is that what the 250 dollar cost was or is that separate? Thanks in advance! If more info is needed let me know

In ca you have to carry a general engineering license to do any street work. Sometimes a pipeline license will let you do the tap but to fix the road I would need the engineering license. Give your city/county a call and ask them. I know things are different everywhere.
