Help with shutoff valve.

This is the hot water shutoff valve under the bathroom sink.It's a quarter turn valve and the handle just spins.After removing the little screw holding the handle,nothing appears to be stripped.Is there a trick to getting it back in the pocket grooves that are alongside the screw hole which seem to be a catch for the handle?

Problem solved.It turns out that the plastic valve handle had cracks in it,so it would'nt fit snuggly onto the stem.My friend gave me a new handle and now it works just fine.Thanks for the reply.
