Hello Everyone and thank you for reading this. I have a problem and I am going to name the company because you don't do what they did - as a businessperson... this should be obvious.

I have a Newport Brass faucet. It is a few years old, purchased brand new. The faucet head has a button that goes from spray to stream. It has stopped working after about 18 months. I wrote to the company. Their answer back was:

"tried to submit a request for a new spray head but unfortunately we do not have any left, your faucet was discontinued a couple of years ago and our stock has been depleted.
Your faucet has a 10 year workmanship warranty, please contact your original place of purchase for a replacement faucet."

So, if i read this correctly this company warrantied a component they made for 10 years. And they did not keep parts. Very, very bad business. And I am hung out here, because they chose to ignore other notes. I will never do business with this company again. What they did do is try to upsell me on their latest mode. Good move.

I am very surprised that the company did not suggest how to fix their part.

I guess my question is... can something like this be fixed?

I am attaching two pictures of the unusable and offending part.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

And if this company comes back with a solution, I will post it. Not hopeful though.

Thank you very muchnewport brass 1 - Copy.JPG

Can not be fixed. Have to replace. Return to place of purchase along with receipt and Newport Brass' reply to you.

Thanks for the response. So... apparently replacement.

Newport Brass has not made any attempt to help. In fact, they refuse. The product is under warranty.

If a replacement is made, it will not be Newport Brass.

Problem with them is they are such a conglomerate, it is hard to find anyone but the lowest level employee.

Thanks.
