Hey friends,

I am trying to make this thing that you see in the picture in the link below
But I have very limited knowledge of plumbing.
I was hoping someone with some experience could help me
explain what I am looking for/ how to create this thing.
It's a device for my kids that makes water come out of a dog's mouth

(If you copy and paste the link it'll take you to the sketch I drew of it.
Again, I don't know the names of the pieces so I just drew based on what i THINK it should look like)

What kind of metal is the rectangle?

How flush do you really have to have the face of the plate?

There are some parts but they may leave a small lip on the outlet side.

Hey Chris, thanks for the response.

I was hoping to get it as flush as possible. I haven't figured out which type of metal to use. Any advice on that?

A small lip would be ok. What are those parts?

Again, I just want to point out that I'm looking for VERY SPECIFIC pieces that I can go out and purchase.

If anyone even THINKS they might have a guess what ANY specific piece I'm looking for is, it's greatly appreciated.

Let me think for a few on what you can use that would be easiest unless you have access to a welder?

Depending on the material thickness you might be able to use a 1/2'' tap to make threads. You might what to use brass for the retangle piece. Plexiglass may even work, just a thought.

not sure how rigid you need the application. You could make the "Z" shape out of 1/2" 90's and nipples. with a 1/2" floor flange at the end. The flange could then be screwed/welded/siliconed/epoxied to your material of choice.

the link i posted is for a galvanized flange. they come in other finishes

You could even drill and counter sink screws on that flange to keep it flush depending on the thickness of the plate.
