I installed the attached dishwasher about a year ago. I had to replace the circled piece when I installed as the old washer was very worn. No issues until yesterday.

The connections circled is leaking. I assume someone pushed it as we keep things under the sink. However, now I can't get it to seal closed. The washer will not slide over the black discharge pipe, so when I turn the collar, there is nothing preventing it from spilling out. The washer is currently in the collar, but the pip rises above the collar.

Any suggestions?

Did you try a new plastic washer? If a new one will not go over the disposal pipe then maybe what I am seeing in your picture is the black tubular pipe is puffed out caused by putting down something to hot for the drain like boiling hot water or grease. Also the trap looks like it is on a angle and not lining up to the disposal pipe.

there are 2rubber washers that insinkerator usesin it's a newer
one the washer does not slip over the black peice it's compressed
between the black drain peice and the disposal don't reuse the old
one and clean out the area were the gasket site on the disposal

DISREGAURD ABOVE INFO

you probably have an 1 1/4 washer you need a 1 1/2 washer

cut the riser coming up through the floor about 4" and put an extension tailpiece on the dishwasher discharge.
