I'm having a really difficult time diagnosing this recurring drip in my kitchen faucet.

Originally I thought the hot water valve stem was the culprit, so I changed it. Things were fine for a few days and then the drip came back.

I then shut off the hot water and cold water in turn to see if either the hot water stem was bad or the cold water stem was actually the one that needed to be changed and found that the faucet was still dripping with the water to both sides completely shut off.

So, what should I do? Assuming the washers in the shut off valves or the shut off valves themselves need to be replaced, would that be the cause of a leaky faucet?

Changing the hot water valve stem took 3 trips to different plumbing stores until I finally found one that had what I needed 45 minutes away and he charged me $50 for it. I'd rather avoid having to replace the cold water stem unnecessarily, if possible. Thanks for any advice.

What brand/model faucet?
To be honest, I'm not sure. We moved into this house last year, and the faucet and sink were installed by the previous owner.

The sink has "Blanco" on it, but I haven't been able to find the faucet on Blanco's website. The cold water stem has "Avilion" on it, and I've only been able to find what I believe is the stem listed on a site in the UK, but no other information.

Would you prefer to just replace the whole faucet , there are some cheap ones out there around 50 bucks at Home Depot. Or just replace the washers with any universal ones

I removed the stem and brought it to different plumbing stores. The first 3 tried to identify it and said they didn't have the matching part.

The fourth place was a last resort. A plumbing parts wholesaler recommended it since they carry a lot of different valve stems, but he warned me that I would get robbed on the price. This place also has a no return policy even if the part is faulty. It says this on their receipt and they have google reviews saying as such. I'd rather avoid going back, if possible, since I have no idea if the first stem they sold me actually worked.

we have a place like that, if you cant find it anywhere, he has it,
and you WILL pay for it.

Post a picture of the stem and faucet. Lots of different plumbers here have saw a lot of different faucets. Perhaps somebody here can identify it.
