I'm installing a new faucet and replacing the old P-trap. As you can see from the pic, the drain from the wall is at an angle to the sink. The P-trap arm on the replacement trap is longer than the current arm in the pic. My questions are:

1. Do I need to cut the replacement p-trap to size?

2. What type of elbow (45 degrees?) should I use on the p-trap arm.

3. Does the new elbow need to be glued (primer, glue?) onto the white pipe from the wall?

Is that everything--P-trap, P-trap arm, elbow, pipe from the wall?

Sorry if this is an obvious question. Thanks for any help.

Thanks Frodo.

Since the street 45 is glued to the long stubout pipe, I'm going to cut some of the stubout off. What type of cutter do you recommend? (Seems like a hacksaw could make an uneven cut).
