What does the other handle look like?
Wow. it is just a guess but it looks like the lock ring under the tub needs to be tightened. Let me guess, you can't access under the tub, right?

Post a picture of the other side of the handle. If there is no hole under the lever part of handle for a small allen screw then try this.
Turn off water to house.
Unscrew the bottom part and you might be able to see what came apart.
Do you have a manufacture name for that fixture?
